FAQ - BEFORE GRADUATION

How do I order guest tickets?

  1. Select 'Guest Tickets' on our homepage. 
  2. Enter your student number (without letters) and date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY
  3. Select the desired number of tickets (maximum allocations are set depending on ceremony and will be enforced accordingly by the portal)
  4. Click ‘add to cart’ and follow prompts to checkout. 

I have paid my registration fee to Deakin. Where are my two complimentary tickets? 

Each graduate is allowed two guest tickets for free. It is essential these tickets are booked on the Reed Graduations website.  

Additional Guest Tickets

Additional tickets to the October 2018 graduation ceremonies will be available for sale (subject to availability) from 9am Monday 17th September through Reed Graduation Services. Extra tickets cost $40 each. 
Children under three are free if they're not occupying a seat.

Can I refund a guest ticket? 

Guest tickets for Deakin graduations are non-refundable. 

What is a Portrait Session and what does it cover?

A Portrait Session is the time you spend with our professional photographer. Your photographer will take a range of different shots and poses of the graduate by themselves, plus extra shots with family and friends.

Why should I pre-book my portrait session?

Pre-booking online saves time. Simply print or screenshot your booking confirmation and present at our photography studios to have your photos taken.

Do I get a specific appointment time when I book my portrait session?

No. Due to time constraints, we can’t book in a specific time for your sitting. We suggest pre-booking online to save time, but if you choose to book on the day make sure you arrive as early as possible to register at our customer service desk and have your studio portraits taken.  

Please note that photography studios are open 2 hours prior to your ceremony and we are happy to provide sample testamurs so you can have your photos taken prior to the ceremony.

Can I get my photos taken before/after the ceremony?

Our studios are available before and after the ceremony. You can proceed to the photography area as soon as you have your gown, and immediately after the ceremony. Our studios close (temporarily) strictly 45 minutes before the ceremony commences.

Do I need to make a booking to get my stage photographs?

No. We take a photograph of every single graduate. A photo of every graduate is available to view and purchase immediately after the ceremony. To save time on the day click here to pre-book online.

When do I receive my pre-booked stage image or video? 

These items will be available to collect immediately after the ceremony. If you forget to collect these items, we will need to charge a postage fee to send the items after graduation. 

 

FAQ - AFTER GRADUATION

How do I view my photos online?

  1. Visit deakin.reedgraduations.com.au
  2. Click on the ‘View/Order portrait images’ circle.
  3. Enter your 'G' reference code from your studio session booking and then click GO.
  4. Your images will appear in a slide show format. Use the arrows to scroll through the images. 

If you receive the message “Sorry, please try another code”, your photographs may still be uploading. Please allow 5 business days from graduation day for the images to be available to view. If you continue to have trouble after this period, please contact our staff at hello@reedgraduations.com.au 

How do I order my photos online?

  1. Visit deakin.reedgraduations.com.au
  2. Enter your 'G' reference code from your studio session booking and then click GO.
  3. Your images will appear in a slide show format. Click ‘order photos’ to start your order.
  4. Choose from the three options above the image: ‘Select a print’, ‘Select a canvas’ OR ‘Select a digital copy’. 
  5. Use the side arrows to click through to your desired image. (There are artistic effects and framing options available underneath the image.) 
  6. Click ‘add to cart’. You can then choose to continue selecting more photographs, or continue to checkout.
  7. If you haven’t already done so, you will need to create an account with us. This way we can save your shipping address and contact details for any future purchases.
  8. Follow the prompts to checkout. A receipt will be emailed as confirmation.

How do I download the Digital Pack?

  1. Go to our website and login to your account. 
  2. Then click 'My Account' in the top right corner and then from the dropdown menu. 
  3. On the order summary page, click the black 'View' button beside your order with the Digital Pack.  
  4. Then scroll down the receipt and underneath the Digital Pack sample photo you will see a 'Download' button. 
  5. From this link you will be able to save the images to your computer. The images can be downloaded multiple times, if necessary.

How do I view and purchase my stage photos online?

  1. Visit deakin.reedgraduations.com.au.
  2. Click on ‘View/Order Stage Images’.
  3. Select the date and time of your ceremony. Click GO. 
  4. This will show everyone who crossed the stage. Select your image and then your preferred format (print/digital, etc.)
  5. Click ‘add to cart’ and follow the prompts to checkout. 

How long before I receive my order?

Reed Graduation Services are dedicated to providing only the absolute highest level of quality. Your printed images will be thoughtfully re-touched, carefully packaged and delivered to your door or post office approximately 2 weeks after ordering.  Digital images are available online instantly after you place your order. Framed images can take up to 4 weeks due to the nature of creating custom frames.

Can my order be delivered overseas?

Yes, we deliver the majority of our products worldwide. At this stage we do not offer international shipping for frames. 

How is my order sent?

Your order is sent via Australia Post and is packaged securely to avoid any damage.

What is a canvas print?

A canvas print is a photograph printed on textured artist canvas rather than traditional photo paper. Canvas is a high-quality material that gives a similar effect to a painting.  Your canvas will arrive rolled in a heavy duty packing cylinder.

Postage

Digital items do not attract a postage fee.

For physical items, the postage fee ranges from $15 - $30 within Australia. Overseas postage is calculated based on the product item and destination.

FRAMES

Postage of Frames.

NOTE: All frames delivered by post will be supplied with acrylic (Perspex) in place of glass. This product is lighter, more shock proof than glass and will stand the test of time.

Can I buy a mat only?

Yes, for photo mats 13x18, 15x20, $15.00 each + $10 postage within Australia. Certificate mats available $65 each + $15 postage within Australia. Click here to contact us for details. 

Can I get replacement glass?

Yes it is available to be picked up from the ceremonies only. Plain $15.00, Diffused $25.00

Is it difficult to mount the testamur into the frame?

No. Simply remove the backboard by bending flexi pins, insert testamur over mat board aperture, apply tape (supplied) across two top corners and reassemble.

If I order online can I pick up my frame from a ceremony?

Yes, your frame will be ready on the day. We will remind you on the day via SMS message that your frame is ready to pick up.

How long does it take to get the frame via online order?

Each frame is custom made and will be delivered within 4 weeks from receipt of your order. Any problems at all, you can contact our customer service number - 03 5596 3503 or 0407 501 246.

Delivery Costs for frames

  • Delivery price for first Small item: $15.00, additional Small items: $5.00
  • Delivery price for first medium item;(e.g. single certificate frame) $20.00, additional medium items: $5.00

PLAQUES

How long does it take to receive a plaque via online order?

Each plaque is custom made and will be delivered within 6 weeks from the receipt of your order. For any queries, contact our customer service number - 03 5596 3503 or 0407 501 246.

What do I need to supply for a plaque order?

Artwork - if we do not sight the original certificate we will accept an A4 size, high quality, colour copy in either a PDF or EPS file format, authenticated on the front by either a Justice of the Peace/Lawyer/Police Officer/Pharmacist etc as being a true copy of the original. The authentication must not cover any text or artwork. Copy must be attached with order.

Delivery Costs for Plaques

  • Delivery cost within Australia $15 for plaques, $20 for larger items
  • Delivery cost international $60.

What if the frame or plaque is damaged?

We ask that you check your item for damage with witness from delivery representative before signing. If there is any damage do not accept the delivery and contact us.

How are items posted?

Freight within Australia is by Registered Post. Freight outside Australia involves Registered Post where available and Air Post.

We can advise on expected delivery times but R & J Framing and Plaques accepts no responsibility for delays which are beyond our control.

If a delivery cannot be made due to:

a) an incorrect or inadequate address provided by the customer

b) no person being in attendance to accept a delivery

c) customer not collecting item from Post Office

the item will be returned to us by Australia Post. The delivery will be rescheduled and an additional delivery and administration charge will be levied.

Undelivered Goods

If you have placed an order and have not received delivery within 4 weeks for frames and 6 weeks for plaques, please phone R & J Framing on 03 5596 3503 or 0407 501 246. Please have your order confirmation email on hand (you will receive this after you place your order).

Returns Policy

R & J Framing and Plaques’ manufacturing and shipping record is very impressive. Product sizes and colours shown throughout the site may vary slightly from the actual due to limitations in photography and monitor display. Although product size and colour information displayed is normally accurate, there may be some slight variation between batches therefore we must state that all sizes and colours are approximate.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please contact us. Return of goods will only be accepted if contact is made within 48 hours of delivery. Please do not return items unless you have contacted us. Products returned without notification will not be accepted.

Products must be returned complete and in original condition and packaging at purchasers cost within 7 days of supply to receive refund. Refund of the purchase price excludes any freight charges.

Custom made items

  • Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund on any custom made items unless the item is faulty, significantly different to the artwork approved prior to production, or where otherwise required by law.
  • We will not accept responsibility for errors in the information provided by customers. Although obvious errors may be detected, our system takes the information you provide directly into our software and cannot account for every variable. Please be sure to check spelling of names etc thoroughly.
  • We ask our customers to inspect their parcels before collecting from the post office. If there is evidence of damage during postage the item can be rejected and returned to us free of charge to the customer.

Is workmanship guaranteed?

Because we want you to display your item with pride we guarantee workmanship and the quality of all materials used UNLESS CARE INSTRUCTIONS HAVE NOT BEEN FOLLOWED.

Please inspect your parcel on collection and advise postal authorities if damage is evident. Any plaque damaged in transit will be replaced upon its return to us. (Return postage is at your expense).

Claims for damage must be notified within 2 days of delivery.

Care of Frames and Plaques

  • Frames and plaques are not designed to be indestructible!
  • They should be handled with care AT ALL TIMES
  • Hang or display with hooks / stands designed for the appropriate weight of the item.
  • Dust with a soft, clean microfibre cloth.
  • Do not rub or use detergent or sprays.
  • Do not place in direct sunlight.
